CIUDAD DE MÉXICO.— En vísperas que salga la convocatoria de Morena para el proceso interno en Puebla, Alejandro Armenta Mier anunció que sí se separará de su cargo como senador de la República, a fin de buscar la candidatura; aunque aún valora en qué momento lo hará.
En conferencia de prensa, el morenista expuso que dicha decisión es por ser congruente con la ciudadanía, además que las encuestas lo ubican en una posición “muy adelantada”. No obstante, aseguró que no se confiará y seguirá trabajando a marchas forzadas.
“Sí me voy a separar el cargo, es un tema de mucha seriedad, de mucha congruencia, de enviar un mensaje contundente a los poblanos, a las poblanas de que (…) yo estoy convencido que Puebla ya decidió. El mayor número de encuestadoras como sucedió con la doctora Claudia Sheinbaum nos ubican en una posición muy adelantada“, afirmó Alejandro Armenta.

El senador morenista aclaró que si se separa del Senado de la Republica no es porque quiera posicionarse, ya que “tengo 34 años de caminar el estado de Puebla, así que no es para implementar un programa intenso de posicionamiento“.
Alejandro Armenta expuso que algunos de sus contrincantes a lo mejor “subirán globos aerostáticos, o van a contratar avionetas, van a contratar aviones y ponen muñequitos…Yo no voy hacer eso, voy ha seguir caminado en las calles, porque eso es lo que nos dijo el presidente Andrés Manuel López Obrador”.
⇒ Desde hace tiempo los aspirantes a la candidatura de Morena, Julio Huerta (exsecretario de Gobernación de Puebla) y José Antonio Martínez García (ex secretario de Salud de Puebla) renunciaron a sus cargos; y en días pasados hizo lo propio Olivia Salomón Vibaldo (ex secretaria de Economía de Puebla).
