PUEBLA.— Debido a que el volcán Popocatépetl ha dado tregua disminuyendo su actividad, el Gobierno de Puebla determinó que en los 40 municipios en donde habían suspendido clases presenciales, regresarán a esta modalidad a partir del lunes 29 de mayo.
⇒ De esta forma, un millón 57 mil 867 alumnos de 4 mil 501 escuelas y 57 mil 373 docentes regresarán a sus actividades normales.
La secretaria de Educación de Puebla, Isabel Merlo Talavera, señaló que decidieron regresar a clases presenciales tras un “análisis serio” con base en los resultados de monitoreo de Protección Civil, que considera que la actividad actual del coloso no pone en riesgo a la comunidad escolar.
Ante el regreso a clases presenciales, la funcionaria poblana hizo un llamado a los padres de familia, docentes y directivos a organizarse para realizar tareas de limpieza en todas las escuelas afectadas para que el lunes los estudiantes puedan regresar a las aulas “en las condiciones más apropiadas”.

Por su parte, el gobernador de Puebla, Sergio Salomón Céspedes, advirtió que las clases a distancia podrían retomarse en los 40 municipios en cuanto ‘Don Goyo’ vuelva a incrementar su actividad volcánica.
“Nos estamos preparando para un regreso a clases el lunes, sin embargo, tenemos que recordar que estamos todos en alerta y eso nos lleva a que si hubiera algún cambio de aire, si hubiera otra caída considerable de ceniza tendremos que regresar nuevamente a la modalidad (a distancia)”.
En las 24 horas más recientes, el volcán Popocatépetl registró 19 exhalaciones con vapor de agua y gas, principalmente. En tanto, se prevé caída de ceniza durante el viernes en la zona sur del estado, lo que incluye al valle de Izúcar de Matamoros y la Mixteca, así como a Morelos.
