CIUDAD DE MÉXICO.— El secretario de la Defensa Nacional, Luis Cresencio Sandoval González, informó que durante el operativo para la detención Ovidio Guzmán, hijo de Joaquín El Chapo Guzmán, dejó al menos 29 muertos, diez de ellos militares y 19 presuntos integrantes del grupo criminal.
Durante la Mañanera de este viernes 6 de enero, el funcionario federal precisó que también quedaron 35 militares lesionados, y hubo 21 personas detenidas. Además, durante el operativo se emplearon aeronaves artilladas debido a que los agresores usaron ametralladoras calibre 50.
⇒ Además, se decomisaron cuatro fusibles Barrett, seis ametralladoras, 26 armas largas, dos armas cortas, cargadores, 595 cartuchos, dos chalecos antibalas, 13 vehículos, 40 camionetas inutilizadas (26 blindadas), 1.4 kg de mariguana, 150 g. de cocaína y seis bolsas con pastillas de fentanilo.
Sandoval Gozánlez dijo que todas las acciones se llevaron a cabo en un punto de la comunidad de Jesús María, en el municipio de Culiacán, Sinaloa, que estaba alejado de la población civil.

Señaló que las células criminales, de manera simultánea, realizaron bloqueos para evitar el traslado de Ovidio Guzmán, también realizaron disparos con armas de fuego a aeronaves de Fuerza Aérea Mexicana, así como de líneas comerciales e instalaciones del Aeropuerto Internacional de Culiacán, Sinaloa.
“Sin embargo no lograron su cometido de rescatar al presunto delincuente dado que se logró su neutralización”, apuntó.
Informó que con un helicóptero y con todas las medidas de seguridad, Ovidio Guzmán fue trasladado del lugar de los hechos a las instalaciones de la Fiscalía Especializada en Delincuencia Organizada de la Ciudad de México quedando a disposición del Ministerio Público de la Federación.

Al respecto, el presidente Andrés Manuel López Obrador señaló que “ya no hay bloqueos de grupos armados en las calles. El gobernador me ha dicho que ya desde ayer están retirando los carros quemados de las calles”. Además, destacó la “manera responsable” en la que se actuó para cuidar a la población civil.
