Estados Unidos.-Dolly Parton y A Tribe Called Quest no tienen mucho en común aparte de la propensión a hacer buena música. Pero ahora, la querida cantante country y el mítico grupo de rap de Queens se encuentran nominados para la misma clase de miembros del Salón de la Fama del Rock & Roll.
Están entre los nominados para la clase 2022 del Salón de la Fama del Rock & Roll, anunciada el miércoles. También están en la boleta electoral los queridos alternativos Beck y Kate Bush, los grupos de la Nueva Ola DEVO y Duran Duran, y los cantautores Lionel Richie y Carly Simon.
Varios de los nominados son nominados por primera vez. Los nominados por primera vez incluyen a Eminem, que hace la boleta electoral en su primer año de elegibilidad. Un artista o banda es elegible para la inducción 25 años después de que se lanzara su primera grabación comercial, según la Fundación Salón de la Fama del Rock & Roll.
Más de 1.000 artistas, historiadores de la música y profesionales de la industria musical votan sobre los nominados, dijo la fundación, teniendo en cuenta la influencia de un artista o grupo en otros músicos, su cuerpo de trabajo y “duración y profundidad de la carrera”.
