Después de sufrir un grave accidente automovilístico, un ejecutivo de publicidad se une a un grupo que utiliza choques vehiculares como fetiche, para tratar de revitalizar su vida sexual con su esposa.
A medida que se profundiza su relación con el líder, un científico obsesionado con accidentes, la pareja encuentra formas nuevas e inquietantes de expresar el amor. Basado en la novela de J. G. Ballard, Crash es la exploración erótica de David Cronenberg sobre un mundo en el que los humanos alinean sus mentes, cuerpos y sexualidad con la tecnología de los automóviles.
