Está configurado por cuatro programas que plantean interrogantes sobre las representaciones en México, tanto de los afroamericanos como de los movimientos de derechos civiles, nacionalistas y de liberación estadounidenses.
Destacan títulos como Panteras negras (1968) de Agnès Varda, No soy tu negro (2016), documental que reflexiona acerca de la violencia racial en Estados Unidos a partir de la obra del escritor y activista James Baldwin y dos películas de la realizadora Madeline Anderson, conocida como la primera mujer afroamericana en producir y dirigir un documental televisado en Estados Unidos.
