PUEBLA.- Ante el incremento de hospitalizaciones derivadas del coronavirus, los nosocomios públicos de Puebla incrementaron 297 camas para atender a pacientes con SARS-COV-2, lo que significa un crecimiento del 30 por ciento en la capacidad hospitalaria de la entidad.
Así lo informó el secretario de Salud del estado, José Antonio Martínez García, quien explicó que 254 camas se agregaron a los Servicios de Salud, 24 al IMSS, 13 al ISSSTEP y solo seis al ISSSTE.
El titular explicó que hasta el 18 de enero en Puebla se registró un incremento de 849 casos de coronavirus nuevos en un fin de semana y de 283 casos positivos por día, por lo que la ocupación hospitalaria mantiene una tendencia en ascenso.

Respecto a los pacientes hospitalizados, Martínez García dijo que sumaban mil 362, de los cuales, 182 requieren ventilación mecánica asistida.
El secretario también precisó que en los hospitales de la Secretaría había 511 pacientes por unidad médica, 430 en el Instituto Mexicano del Seguro Social (IMSS); 148 en el ISSSTEP; 114 en hospitales privados; 110 en el ISSSTE; 35 en el Hospital Universitario y 14 en el Hospital Militar Regional.
