CIUDAD DE MÉXICO.— La jefa de Gobierno, Claudia Sheinbaum, aseguró que se analiza la posibilidad de que los vehículos solo tengan que ser verificados una vez este año y no dos como normalmente se hace. Los que ya realizaron su trámite no tendrían que hacerlo el siguiente semestre.
“Todavía estamos en pláticas con Medio Ambiente, mi opinión es que nos vamos al segundo semestre de verificación, de tal manera que sería solo una verificación al año para todos los vehículos”, afirmó la mandataria capitalina en videoconferencia de prensa.
Debido a la emergencia sanitaria por Covid-19, solo los vehículos con engomado amarillo y placas con terminación 5 o 6, además de algunos con engomados rojo y terminación 7 u 8, pudieron hacer su trámite de verificación, el resto se quedó en espera.
- Desde el pasado 25 de marzo, los 60 centros de verificación vehicular que hay en la Ciudad de México cerraron como parte de la jornada de Sana Distancia.

En tanto, Sheinbaum Pardo indicó que se prevé reabrir los verificentros en la Ciudad de México hasta el segundo semestre, que va de julio a diciembre. La reapertura aún se está analizando junto con la Secretaría de Medio Ambiente (Sedema), por lo que se anunciará el esquema próximamente.
