MÉRIDA.— La Secretaría de Seguridad Pública de Yucatán lamentó el deceso del policía tercero Alberto Herrera Yamá, elemento activo de la corporación, quien falleció este domingo víctima del Covid-19.
El oficial pertenecía al sector oriente de la SSP y tenía varios años de servicio, y al iniciar la contingencia, como todos los elementos activos no descuidó su labor, extremando precauciones como se ha indicado a todos los policías de la entidad.
Sin embargo, contrajo la enfermedad y desde ese momento fue aislado, pero por complicaciones finalmente falleció este domingo, por lo cual la corporación policiaca lamentó el hecho, uniéndose a la pena que embarga a familiares y amistades del policía tercero Alberto Herrera Yamá.
Esta sería a segunda muerte de un elemento de la Secretaría de Seguridad Pública de Yucatán por Covid-19. En abril pasado fue conocido el caso de Modesto Bacab, policía que llevaba varios años en la corporación y lamentablemente perdió la vida.
