CIUDAD DE MÉXICO.- La Secretaría de Educación Pública (SEP) reconoce el esfuerzo, apoyo y aportes de las Instituciones de Educación Superior (IES) al sector educativo, a las autoridades locales y a la población, para enfrentar la emergencia del COVID-19 y evitar así el contagio entre alumnos, docentes, madres y padres de familia.
Para atender el llamado a la sana distancia, 5.3 millones de personas de ese nivel educativo, pertenecientes a 6 mil 404 planteles públicos y privados, mantienen el receso escolar, pero continúan con el proceso de aprendizaje a distancia.
El Secretario de Educación Pública, Esteban Moctezuma Barragán, afirmó que sin el apoyo de las IES sería más difícil enfrentar la emergencia sanitaria, sobre todo, en aquéllos lugares donde los planteles de Educación Superior son los que principalmente brindan el apoyo a la comunidad.
De acuerdo con la Subsecretaría de Educación Superior, las IES apoyan a las autoridades sanitarias y brindan auxilio a la población; continúan con actividades de docencia, investigación y difusión de la cultura, con el apoyo de una amplia gama de herramientas tecnológicas, e impulsan proyectos de vinculación con los sectores productivos, para detonar las potencialidades de las economías locales.
El Subsistema Universitario (Universidades Públicas Federales, Estatales e Interculturales) colabora con el desarrollo de ventiladores invasivos y no invasivos, termómetro digital infrarrojo y caretas, así como con atención psicológica, médica y jurídica a distancia, vía telefónica, correo y chat en línea; además de la colaboración con autoridades sanitarias para capacitar a personal médico, paramédico y administrativo, vinculado con la atención y orientación a pacientes.
De igual manera, el Subsistema brinda apoyo para difundir las medidas de prevención, con la traducción y grabación de spots para prevenir el COVID-19 en las siguientes lenguas: castellano, maya, matlatzinca, náhuatl, tlahuica, tseltal, ch´ol, tojol-ab´al, mayo, hñahñu (otomí), popoluca, tepehua, tutunaku, mazahua, ñusaavi (mixteco) y purépecha, además de lenguaje de señas.
Por lo que se refiere al Subsistema Tecnológico, que incluye Institutos Tecnológicos, Universidades Tecnológicas y Politécnicas (UTyP), colabora con los gobiernos de diferentes estados, para la elaboración de respiradores, mascarillas, portasueros y producción de gel, entre otros materiales e insumos.
En el caso del Subsistema de Escuelas Normales e Instituciones de Formación Docente Normales y Universidad Pedagógica Nacional, apoyan a los 10 mil 207 docentes frente a grupo de las escuelas normales públicas en el uso del sistema que se desarrolló para impartir educación a distancia, a los 89 mil 634 estudiantes normalistas.
Finalmente, por lo que se refiere a la vinculación de las IES con sectores productivos y el impulso de la economía social, se trabaja en 4 estrategias: Estrategia Nacional de Emprendimiento, basado en la economía social; Vinculación territorial; Educación Dual, y nuevos programas educativos en línea.
Universidad Autónoma de Guerrero contribuye con acciones para proteger a su comunidad y evitar los contagios
Al declararse la emergencia sanitaria por el COVID-19, el Rector de la Universidad Autónoma de Guerrero (UAGro), Javier Saldaña Almazán, tomó acciones para proteger a su comunidad y evitar los contagios, con la creación del Comité Universitario de Vigilancia y Prevención del COVID-19.
Este comité, integrado por expertos de las licenciaturas y posgrados del Área de la Salud e investigadores de Epidemiología y Virología, se mantiene en constante coordinación con la Secretaría de Salud federal y estatal para determinar las acciones a realizar en las distintas fases de la contingencia.
Además, un equipo de estudiantes de la Facultad de Ciencias Químicas, desarrollaron una formulada patentada de gel antibacterial, del que han producido 20 mil litros para, en una primera etapa, distribuirlo en todos los plantes de la institución, así como en hospitales y clínicas de salud, y a las brigadas médicas.
La UAGro ha realizado jornadas de capacitación en comunidades rurales de los municipios Acapulco de Juárez, Chilpancingo de los Bravo, Coyuca de Benítez, donde se han atendido a más de 7 mil personas ofreciendo a sus pobladores pláticas informativas sobre el COVID-19, sus síntomas, formas de contagio y medidas preventivas.
Asimismo, la UAGro inauguró el Laboratorio de Diagnóstico e Investigación de Salud para aplicar pruebas de detección del COVID-19, instalado en la Facultad de Ciencias Químicas. La comunidad universitaria podrá hacer pruebas con previa cita, al igual que el resto de la población cuando el Gobierno Federal o estatal así lo requieran.
