MÉRIDA.— En el marco del Día Internacional de la Mujer, el gobernador Mauricio Vila reconoció la enorme e imprescindible labor que, día tras día, realizan miles de mujeres en Yucatán. “Son ellas la fuerza más importante de nuestro Estado: el motor de nuestra economía y el cimiento fundamental de toda nuestra estructura social”, apuntó.
“Como sociedad, debemos ser conscientes de su importancia y responsables de salvaguardar sus derechos: Para que las mujeres yucatecas puedan disfrutar de una vida plena, personal y profesional, se requiere, antes que nada, reconocer que hay muchas tareas aún pendientes”.
Este #DíaInternacionaldelaMujer reconocemos la enorme labor que, día tras día, realizan miles de mujeres en Yucatán.

Destacó que en el gobierno de Yucatán se aplauden los logros alcanzados por las mujeres en estos intensos años. Sin embargo, admitió que aún hay una larga lista de pendientes para saldar la deuda histórica que la sociedad tiene con ellas.
“Hay mucho camino por recorrer para reducir la brecha y para combatir la impunidad en la procuración de justicia. Por eso, esta administración se ha propuesto caminar junto con las mujeres, apoyándolas en su histórico esfuerzo y lucha constante por la igualdad”.
Reconoció que una de las tareas más urgentes es frenar la violencia contra las mujeres, un esfuerzo que requiere la aportación de todos con acciones cada vez más eficientes y eficaces. También, indicó, hay que asumir, con firmeza, la responsabilidad de avanzar para que las niñas de nuestro estado estén en igualdad de oportunidades en todos los ámbitos.

Mauricio Vila afirmó que su administración también reconoce a las mujeres mayores, las que con su esfuerzo y constancia marcaron la ruta por la que transitamos actualmente. “Ellas, nuestra memoria social, merecen cosechar lo que sembraron; la sociedad, en un acto de justicia, debe externarles un agradecimiento”.
Hay mucho aún por hacer, pero, reiteramos, lo haremos juntos. Por ellas y con ellas, seguiremos transformando Yucatán.
