CIUDAD DE MÉXICO.— La Secretaría de Relaciones Exteriores (SRE) anunció la destitución de Roberto Valdovinos Alba como titular del Instituto de los Mexicanos en el Exterior (IME), quien fue señalado por hostigamiento laboral.
A través de un comunicado, la dependencia indicó que la decisión fue tomada en atención a la recomendación del Comité de Ética y de Prevención de Conflictos de Interés de la dependencia, el cual recibió cinco denuncias en contra de Valdovinos durante 2019.
“El Comité confirmó la consistencia de los hechos denunciados como trato inadecuado y hostigamiento laboral, considerándose que dichas conductas reiteradas afectan la estabilidad y operación del Instituto, por lo que dictaminó que no existen condiciones para que el servidor público continúe desempeñándose en su cargo“, indicó.

La Cancillería resaltó que los derechos del exfuncionario fueron respetados, incluyendo la garantía de audiencia y el apego al debido proceso en cada una de las acusaciones que se presentaron en su contra.
Valdovinos fue acusado ante el Órgano Interno de Control y el Comité de Ética de la SRE, así como en la Comisión Nacional de los Derechos Humanos (CNDH) por sus presuntos “comportamientos inadecuados” con las mujeres y por invitaciones fuera de lugar del ambiente laboral.
Sí tiene quejas…pero no son por acoso sexual, dice Cancillería.
