CIUDAD DE MÉXICO.- Finalmente, después de dos años de retrasar su estreno, la cinta The New Mutants verá la luz y llegará a la gran pantalla con el montaje original de director Josh Boone.
La última película del universo de los X-Men producida en su totalidad por 20th Century Fox, ahora será lanzada bajo la supervisión de Disney. Mucho se había hablado sobre los reshoots que tuvieron que hacer después de algunas proyecciones de prueba. Sin embargo, el director de la cinta aclaró que la película estrenará este año con el corte original que iba a ser lanzado en abril de 2018.
A través de una publicación en Instagram, Josh Boone confirmó el estreno del filme el próximo 3 de abril y adelantó que un nuevo avance del mismo podrá ser visto este lunes 6 de enero en todo el mundo.

Además de las modificaciones propuestas para la cinta, el retraso en su estreno se debió a lo cuestiones administrativas tras la compra de Fox por parte de Disney.
The New Mutants, protagonizada por Charlie Heaton, Anya Taylor-Joy, Maisie Williams, Alice Braga y Blu Hunt, contará la historia de cinco adolescentes, que descubren sus poderes mutantes mientras están secuestrados en una instalación secreta de donde intentan escapar.
