CANCÚN, Q.R.- La Presidente Municipal de Benito Juárez, Mara Lezama, en respuesta a la invitación del Presidente Andrés Manuel López Obrador, acudió a la XLV Sesión Ordinaria del Consejo Nacional de Seguridad Pública, que tuvo lugar hoy en el Salón Tesorería del Palacio Nacional, en la capital del país.
La Primera Edil agradeció y reconoció en la Secretaría de Marina (SEMAR), la Secretaría de la Defensa Nacional (SEDENA), Guardia Nacional, Policía Federal, a la Policía Militar, Fiscalía General del estado y las policía del estado de Quintana Roo y del municipio de Benito Juárez, a un grupo que trabaja todos los días en la Mesa Ciudadana de Seguridad Cancún-Isla Mujeres, en temas de inteligencia y en operativos constantes, para recuperar espacios públicos, cuyos resultados están a la vista al disminuir los índices delictivos en Cancún.
La Primera Autoridad Municipal, respondió así a la convocatoria del Jefe de la Nación, de conformidad con lo establecido en el Artículo 12, fracción IX y XV, del primer párrafo de la Ley General del Sistema Nacional de Seguridad Pública.
Esta invitación fue extendida a la Presidente Municipal, Mara Lezama, con toda oportunidad por el Secretario Ejecutivo del Sistema Nacional de Seguridad Pública, Efraín Cota Montaño.
