CIUDAD DE MÉXICO, 30 de noviembre, (AlMomentoMX).- El presidente de Brasil Jair Bolsonaro ha acusado al actor y activista Leonardo DiCaprio de financiar los incendios de la selva Amazónica. Esta denuncia forma parte de una larga campaña de la cabeza del Estado brasileño en contra de una serie de organizaciones no gubernamentales que operan en Brasil.
Bolsonaro declaró:
“Leornado DiCaprio es un sujeto muy genial, ¿no es así? Él está dando dinero para que el Amazonas se queme”
De acuerdo con Jair Bolsonaro, organizaciones como World Wife Found (WWF) son los responsables de incendiar el Amazonas con el único fin de tomar fotos, hacer videos y así recibir millones de dólares como financiamiento de figuras como Leonardo DiCaprio.
“¿Qué hizo la ONG? ¿Qué es lo más fácil? Incendiar el bosque. Tomar fotos, hacer un video. (WWF) hace una campaña contra Brasil, se pone en contacto con Leonardo DiCaprio, dona US$500.000”, dijo el mandatario.
Todas estas acusaciones se dan, por supuesto, sin prueba alguna, y se suman a los comentarios de su hijo, Eduardo Bolsonaro. Mediante un tuit, el también diputado expresó que DiCaprio donó una gran cantidad a WWF.

La denuncia del presidente de Brasil llega después del arresto de cuatro voluntarios que tuvo lugar en el transcurso de la semana. A ellos se les acusó de incendiar un segmento de la selva con el propósito de recaudar fondos para una ONG anómima que, supuestamente, está vinculada a DiCaprio. Los voluntarios negaron completamente la acusación y fueron posteriormente liberados bajo la orden de un juez.
Ante estas acusaciones, Leonardo DiCaprio respondió mediante un comunicado a través de Instagram en el que dijo estar muy orgulloso de apoyar a los grupos que protegen el Amazonas, además de reafirmar su compromiso con las comunidades indígenas que buscan preservar el pulmón del mundo.
