CIUDAD DE MÉXICO, 28 de noviembre (AlMomentoMx).— Con la aprobación de 17 congresos locales, la Cámara de Diputados realizó la declaratoria de reforma constitucional en materia de consulta popular y revocación de mandato, la cual pasará al Senado de la República para mismos efectos, cumplido esto será turnado al Ejecutivo para su publicación.
La reforma fue avalado por las legislaturas de los estados de Campeche, Chiapas, Colima, Durango, Guerrero, Hidalgo, Jalisco, Estado de México, Michoacán, Morelos, Nayarit, Puebla, San Luis Potosí, Sinaloa, Tabasco, Tlaxcala y Ciudad de México; el congreso de Guanajuato votó contra el proyecto.

La reforma sobre revocación de mandato abren la posibilidad de remover al Presidente de la República por la vía del voto libre, directo y secreto en una consulta revocatoria, a condición de que participe al menos 40 por ciento de los electores inscritos en la lista nominal.
Por otra parte, también se considera la posibilidad de convocar a consultas populares cada año, el primer domingo de agosto, y no en cada elección federal. Para solicitarla se requiere las firmas de al menos 2 por ciento de los ciudadanos inscritos en la lista nominal de electores, equivalente a 1.8 millones.
Con estas reformas, señaló la diputada de Movimiento Ciudadano, Martha Tagle, será la ciudadanía quien tenga la “llave” para activar mecanismos de participación para incidir en las principales decisiones del país y con ello tener la posibilidad de quitar a los “malos gobernantes”.
Eso sí, no podrán ser objeto de consulta popular la restricción de los derechos humanos, la permanencia y continuidad en el cargo de los servidores públicos de elección popular, la seguridad nacional, así como la disciplina de las fuerzas armadas, entre otros temas.
