NAUCALPAN, ESTADO DE MÉXICO, 1 de enero (AlmomentoMX).- Alejandro Fernández Campillo, Secretario de Obra Pública del Gobierno del Estado de México, informó que después de 48 horas de trabajo ininterrumpido, la Comisión del Agua del Estado de México (CAEM) concluyó a las 12:40 hrs. los trabajos en la tubería de 99 pulgadas de diámetro (2.44 metros) del Macrocircuito de Distribución de Agua Potable, que es alimentado por el Sistema Cutzamala.
Por lo anterior, la CAEM ha solicitado a la Comisión Nacional del Agua (CONAGUA) la liberación del caudal de manera paulatina, para que en un promedio de ocho a diez horas el agua empiece a llegar a los hogares de las familias que viven en los municipios con interrupción en el suministro.
El Secretario dijo que para concluir los trabajos y que las familias del Valle de México tuvieran agua en sus hogares lo antes posible, se requirió el apoyo de 45 trabajadores especialistas y operativos, quienes laboraron día y noche; además, se utilizaron bombas de achique y retroexcavadoras.
Finalmente, dijo que las pipas operadas por el organismo seguirán distribuyendo agua de forma gratuita a quien las solicite al número telefónico 01 800 201 24 89; asimismo, agradeció la comprensión de los mexiquenses afectados por el corte de agua.
